Silent Dust picked up the latest Lewis James tracks after hearing ‘Searchtower’ dropped by Jon1st – and there’s no mystery as to why.
The track is an atmospheric sci-fi treat, pads and sonic artefacts from outer space going toe to toe with a powerful, mesmerising bassline.
On the flip we hear Lewis James’ background in video game sound design come to the fore on ‘Templar III’, a stately slice of gorgeously-constructed half-time with a distinct Assassin’s Creed feel to it, which shakes down into a tough bassline before it is done.

Twisted sounds from Eastern Europe are the order of the day on none60’s first release of 2018, complete with a Sinistarr remix on the flip.
The Corpus is a Lithuanian collective of producers, and ‘Cult X’ marks their debut on Silent Dust’s pedigree record label. All sparse half-time atmospherics and ribcage-rattling kicks it is a formidable statement of intent from the group.
Sinistarr makes a long overdue return to none60 for his speaker-shredding remix which sends the original clipping down the rabbit hole before pulling it back out with a flourish.

Wagz makes his debut on none60, one of the most devastatingly reliable labels in the game, with two cuts of flowing, golden liquid.
The Sheffield producer goes deep, with layers of warm bass dominating both tracks while gentle melodies give a lift to ‘Exile’ and sparse atmospherics do the same for ‘Zodiac’.
‘Exile’/‘Zodiac’ is out now on none60, the label founded by Silent Dust. Listen below, or head to https://none60records.bandcamp.com/ to buy.
Oliver Yorke is back with his second release on none60, featuring quite possibly the darkest track on the label to date.
A-side ‘Wanderer’ is that track, a pulsating half-time monster which ducks and dives into dark waters but doesn’t forget to come up for air. On the other side, the London producer teams up with label boss Silent Dust for the first time, throwing up a weighty cut of 21st-century jungle in the shape of ‘Not Giving Up’.
‘Wanderer’ / ‘Not Giving Up’ is out on June 16, pre-order here – https://none60records.bandcamp.com/album/nsy021-wanderer-not-giving-up
Parisian producer Naibu has twisted two hip-hop flavoured cuts from UK genre-manglers Silent Dust into elegant chunks of drum & bass.
Nearly ten years into a career which has seen radio support from the likes of Fabio, London Elektricity and Goldie, Naibu brings a touch of the class his native city is known for to his remixes of ‘My Only Option’ by Silent Dust ft. SelfSays & Jon1st and ‘Population, Me’ by Silent Dust ft. SelfSays.
Keeping the hip-hop feel intact, Naibu adds a solid d&b foundation to ‘My Only Option’, and transforms ‘Population, Me’ into a liquid-tinged roller powered by the voice of Michigan’s own SelfSays.
