SUB FOCUS – LINGUA ft STYLO G
I used to Love Sub Focus. His first album was genius and his tracks always rocked the dancefloor. But then his tunes went a bit wishy-washy and it felt like he was looking for that big commercial success but it wasn’t forthcoming. Now he’s back with an absolute stonker of a tune. For me this is what he does best. Proper underground drum n bass and I’m loving this track. I really hope this is another turning point for SubFocus and we see the man once again bringing the bangers.

METRIK -WORLDWIDE ft THE RAGGA TWINS – HOSPITAL RECORDS

Metrik’s Worldwide tune, in my opinion, is the perfect vocal-driven, jump-up drum n bass track. The highlight for me at Hospitality In the Dock was the boys performing it live.

BEATASSASSINS – CRAZY ft ALEX HOLMES
My latest release Crazy ft Alex Holmes is by far the filthiest track I’ve written to date. Alex Holmes nailed it with her vocal delivery. I’m a sucker for angst female vocals over strings & pianos leading up to a gnarly drop. Gets me every time.

TURNTABLE DUBBERS – BE THERE FOR ft DOCTOR (T & SUGAH REMIX)
Awesome remix from T & Sugah. This tune never fails on the dancefloor and it’s the perfect festival sing along anthem.

RUMBLE – SIREN ft SUKU – LIONDUBINTERNATIONAL
I love drum n bass tracks that sit on the edge of jungle & drum n bass. This is a classic example of such a track. Suku’s vocal delivery is perfect and I love all the siren’s and 808 clap rolls. All round brilliant track.

BENNY PAGE – SHOULD A KNOW ft SWEETIEIRIE – YARD INTERNATIONAL RECORDS
A Beat Assassins top 10 drum n bass tracks wouldn’t be complete without a Benny Page tune. By far one of my favourite producers Benny Page boasts a colossal back catalogue of party induced bangers. I choose this track because I love Sweetie Irie’s vocal and the drop has plenty of punch. Sure fire slammer on the rig.

BEAT ASSASSINS – CRAZY ft ALEX HOLMES (SKMA Remix)
SKMA’s production sound is completely different to Beat Assassins and that’s why I asked them to remix my track Crazy ft Alex Holmes. Their interpretation of the original is completely on the opposite spectrum of drum and bass and I love that. My original is full throttle drum n bass filth yet their remix is a lush, liquid drum n bass roller. A perfect summertime tune.

WARD 21 – OG KUSH (BENNY PAGE Remix)
I love the original mix of this dancehall banger so I was blown away to find out Benny Page had done a remix. Phat breaks and subs turns OG Kush into a peak-time roller.

FRICTION – BRING IT BACK ft STYLO G -SHOGUN
Stylo G, in my opinion, is the vocalist that’s killing it right now in drum and bass. Pretty much every trackI hear him on is superb. Here he teams up with one of the dons in dnb, Friction, and together they basically “tear shit up.”

APHRODITE – LET IT ROLL
And last but not least, the king of the jump up, Aphrodite.
Back in the mid nineties when I used to run a weekly drum n bass night at The Borderline Club (London)we used to rinse out Aphrodite tunes and I’m still playing them today. Big ups to that man!
