“There’s a strong emphasis on the relationship between music and aesthetic. I wanted to create a unique picture in your mind, combining strong, dark techno themes with the hard-knuckled demands of third world country life.”
“There’s a strong emphasis on the relationship between music and aesthetic. I wanted to create a unique picture in your mind, combining strong, dark techno themes with the hard knuckled demands of third world country life.”
Today, London-based producer Dimension shares his latest cut, ‘Beg & Borrow’. Premiered on Tuesday night by Friction on BBC Radio 1, this weighty, techno-tinged roller speaks volumes on talent and showcases the producer’s consistent ability to deliver an underground anthem. ‘Beg & Borrow’ follows closely behind ‘Generator’ which hit #1 in the Drum & Bass Beatport chart, making this his 6th consecutive chart topping release.
A thrilling and enigmatic producer who likes to let his music do the talking, Dimension’s commitment to the sounds of the underground whilst still receiving mainstream success provides further impetus to deem him one of the most exciting artists of 2017. This year will see him undertake his biggest tour to date in Australia and New Zealand, return to Amnesia for another season as a resident DJ at Together and hit the summer circuit once again at festivals including Glastonbury, We Are FSTVL, Love Saves The Day, Electric Castle, Weekend Beach, SW4, Tomorrowland, Sziget and Creamfields.
Not only the creative mind behind his music, Dimension distinguishes himself through his passion for bold architectural design, sleek aesthetic and theological themes – this unique ethos has helped propel Dimension to establish himself as one of the most exciting, sought after producers in electronic music.
The rise of Dimension has been nothing short of remarkable. With multiple best-selling and seminal anthems including ‘Whip Slap’, plus numerous remixes under his belt for the likes of Chase & Status, Duke Dumont, Nero, Emile Sande and deadmau5, 2016 became a real turning point for the producer (been dubbed his “strongest year to date” by Annie Mac) as it saw two of his singles, ‘Automatik’ and ‘UK,’ crowned ‘Hottest Record In The World’ with Annie Mac on BBC Radio 1.
