Release: 21st August 2015

SGN:LTD returns with possibly its biggest release yet, this time from San Francisco’s Submorphics who delivers a huge summertime EP full to bursting with an array of drum & bass that’s second to none.

Greg Submorphics himself talks us through it….
“With ‘The Divine EP’ I’ve written four emotionally charged dance floor tunes, channeling vintage and future soul vibes for what is hopefully a diverse listening experience. I’ve been graced by the talented upcoming vocalists T.R.A.C. and Christina Tamayo, as well as Manchester’s legendary Jenna G; all of whom brought their own individual soulful flavors to the table.

Jenna was brought in to the fold by Friction on the title track; a tune we felt she could really showcase her signature style on; and she did what she does! ‘All or Nothing’ is T.R.A.C. and I doing a 90’s hip hop tribute in a rolling, party-friendly D&B style. Big influences from J Dilla, Pete Rock and DJ Premiere.

On ‘Outer Mission’ I sourced vintage, obscure soul samples and combined them with layers of Detroit-inspired analog synths for a cinematic Northern Soul n Bass vibe. On the final cut “Embers,” I’ve gone for an epic, synth-heavy amen track, combined with the lush dreamy vocals of Christina Tamayo for a tune that has been the outro in all of my DJ sets of late.
Four songs about life, death, love, loss, joy and pain. Hope people enjoy!”
