SCIENCE OF NOISE is the new album by Los Angeles based Slighter. Bending the sound of classic Electronica, club driven Breakbeats, futuristic Drum & Bass and Industrial driven Electronic Rock hybrids, the Science of Noise evokes a futuristic landscape with genre-bending, tactile songs. The work of electronic musician, producer, and composer Colin C. Allrich who’s music can be heard echoing through the hills of television land through shows like, NBC’s Ironside, Showtimes’ House of Lies, Fox’s Bones, and as club music in True Blood’s Fangtasia (through side project Horrorfall).
The album includes collaborations with veteran EDM artists, like this featured track with vocalist, Nica Brooke (Om, Hed Kandi, Plastic City), Caught Up, which calls to mind the early days of Electronica, with a powerful vocal from Nica Brooke like marriage of Massive Attack’s Unfinished Sympathy and a High Contrast/Hospital Records If We Ever.
Other collaborations of the album include Soundstation’s Simon Latham; and Chris Sterio from Source of Gravity records. There’s also new talents including Wolftek, Risk Letter, and spoken word by author R. A. Desilets.
SCIENCE OF NOISE is available now on iTunes, Amazon, and Spotify with a ‘Deluxe Edition’ on Bandcamp.
Slighter is also featured on Front Line Assembly’s ECHOES Remix Album on Metropolis Records with “Leveled” coming in May.
